Please read these rules before entering Trend Micro’s Sweepstake (the “Sweepstake”). By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these rules and acknowledge that you satisfy all Sweepstake eligibility requirements. No purchase necessary to enter to win.

1. Eligibility: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER TO WIN. THIS SWEEPSTAKE IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES WHO ARE LEGAL ADULTS IN THEIR STATE OF RESIDENCE. You must be a legal resident of the United States and 18 years or older at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, the U.S. Virgin Islands, US military installations located in foreign countries, and where prohibited by law. Employees and agents of Trend Micro Incorporated (“Trend Micro”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, any other prize sponsor, and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Sweepstake (all of the foregoing, together with Trend Micro Incorporated collectively referred to as "Sponsor"), and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to participate or win. Sponsor can accept only those entries that are completed and submitted in the format designated below.

2. How to Enter:
You may enter the Sweepstake in the following 2 ways:
a) Entry by answering the small business newsletter survey in the July 14, 2009 email.
b) Mail-in entry: To enter by mail without purchase or obligation, send a postcard on which you have hand-printed your first and last name, address, telephone number, and email address (if available) to: Trend Micro Sweepstake, Attn: Marcom Manager, Mail-in Entry, 10101 N. De Anza Blvd., Cupertino, CA 95014. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 24, 2009, and received no more than seven (7) calendar days later.

The following applies to both methods of entry: LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF MEANS OF ENTRY. Although subsequent attempts to enter may be received, only one entry will count. The submission of an entry is solely the responsibility of the entrant. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any bot, script, macro, or contest service), copies, third party entries, facsimiles and/or mechanical reproductions are not permitted and will be disqualified. Only eligible entries actually received by Trend Micro before the end of the specified entry period will be included in the prize drawing. Illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, garbled, or mutilated entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Trend Micro, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor it not responsible for: (a) late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer – or communications- related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Sweepstake disruptions, injuries, losses, or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor, or; (d) any printing or typographical errors in any material associated with the Sweepstake. Prizes can only be shipped to entrant’s address.

3. Conduct: By entering the Sweepstake, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at the Sweepstake website throughout the Sweepstake. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstake. Entrants further agree to comply with and be bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all respects. Trend Micro reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstake or any Trend Micro website; (b) violating the Official Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Trend Micro property or service; or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKE MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, TREND MICRO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

4. Grand Prize: Eight (8) winners will receive one (1) $25 American Express Gift Card (“Grand Prize”). All Grand Prizes are awarded, AS IS and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE). THE USE OF ANY PRIZE IS AT THE WINNER’S OWN RISK. All taxes that are associated with the receipt of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. By entering this Sweepstake all entrants agree that Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from the sweepstakes and its determination of the winner is final.

The following applies to all prizes: Limit one Grand Prize per winner. Only listed Grand Prize will be awarded and no substitutions, cash equivalents or redemptions will be made, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize package with another prize of equal or greater value in the event that the advertised prize (or any component thereof) is not available. Expenses not specifically stated above, together with the reporting and payment of all applicable taxes, fees, and/or surcharges, if any, arising out of, or resulting from, acceptance or use of a prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner of that prize. Trend Micro expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prizes awarded. Trend Micro makes no representations or warranties concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any prize awarded. Any unclaimed Grand Prize will not be awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. Sponsors and Administrators will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.

5. Winner Selection and Notification: Grand Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about August 7, 2009, from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Grand Prize drawings will be conducted by Trend Micro, whose decisions are final. Potential winners will be notified within about seven (7) days after drawing date via email, US mail, telephone and/or by overnight courier. The Sweepstake winners may be required to sign, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (except where prohibited by law) and provide any additional information (such as social security number), that may be required by Sponsors and Administrators. Except where prohibited by law, the Sweepstake winners must return all such required documents within twenty-one (21) days following attempted notification or prize may be forfeited. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or inability of Sponsors and Administrators to contact a potential winner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner by random drawing.

6. General Conditions: This Sweepstake is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By entering, participants: (a) release and hold harmless Sponsors and Administrators, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to persons, including death, or property damage resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize, participation in this promotion, or while traveling to, preparing for, or participating in any prize-related activity, and (b) grant to Trend Micro the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Sweepstake. Except where prohibited by law, a winner¹s acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsors and Administrators to use such winner¹s name, address (city and state only), statements, photograph, voice and/or likeness for any advertising and promotional purposes relating to the Sweepstake without further compensation, consideration, review or consent.

7. Limitations of Liability: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or mutilated entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstake, or any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstake. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, email, players or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to participants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Sweepstake. If, for any reason, the Sweepstake is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstake, Trend Micro reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstake and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation.

8. Privacy: By entering the Sweepstake, you agree to Trend Micro’s use of your personal information as described in Trend Micro’s Privacy Policy.

9. Winners List: The names of the prize winners may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Trend Micro Sweepstakes, Attn: Marcom Manager, Winner Notification, 10101 N. De Anza Blvd., Cupertino, California 95014. Include title and original airdate of Webinar. Vermont residents may omit return postage.
